Straight Path Records was founded by REDLION in Hamburg as the first label for German-language nasheeds. Everything that sounds like a beat or a melody on our records comes from the human voice. On some tracks the duff is added, the best-attested exception in the texts. Otherwise no instruments.
Our releases are free and openly accessible. Whatever revenue comes in flows back into the next production: studio, video, artists.
There are many crooked paths that lead to ruin. But only one Straight Path.
The scholars' opinions at a glance, sorted by how much the scholars agree. A simplified overview, not a fatwa.

Content always decides. Bad lyrics slide straight to the far right at every level, even as a vocals-only nasheed. All scholars agree on this.
Our lyrics belong to level 1 on any reading. Our beats are built entirely from the voice. We do our best to stay within levels 1 to 3; some tracks and some artists include level 4 sounds, because they follow position C (the voice remains a voice). On some tracks we use the duff (level 2).
All six levels with evidence, the two camps of scholars compared, an interactive case explorer, frequently asked questions and the evaluation of around 500 listener comments. The complete document is also available as a PDF.
Straight to YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music. All releases are free.
